DC and Northern Virginia is home to some of the best breweries in the U.S. Whether you’re a full-fledged beer connoisseur or a casual drinker looking for a fun happy hour, the DMV has a plethora of great brew options for you to pick from. Our local breweries are also a great way to unwind and celebrate a successful escape with your friends from one of our six, interactive, themed Escape Room games here at Room Escape Fairfax. Act out a storyline and search the room for locks, puzzles, and riddles you’ll need to solve with the help of your team mates in only 60 minutes. Once you do, you have the perfect excuse to knock back a few cold ones and toast to your own unparalleled mental acuity!

Adroit Theory Brewing Company

Located in Purcellville, Virginia, Adroit Theory Brewing Company specializes in esoteric beers and the art of barrel aging. While the brewery is small with the ability to make just one or two kegs at a time, the product is top-tier. Adroit usually has at least 24 beers on draft at all times, as well as a dedicated cask line. Stop into the tasting room we’re you’ll be served tasters (3 ounces) or tulips (10 ounces) of all beer types. There is no kitchen on site but guests are welcomed to bring food, have food delivered, or acquire food from the occasional food trucks.

Fair Winds Brewing

After defusing the ‘explosive’ in our Save the White House escape room, make your way to Fair Winds Brewing in Lorton, VA. These craft beer extraordinaires devote their time and energy into creating flavorful creations that complement all tastes and experiences. The 13,000 square foot facility is a fully-operational packaging brewery with an expansive taproom and a 30 barrel brew house. The taproom is where customers can hangout and review some of the Fair Wind’s experimental brews. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available.

Port City Brewing Company

Port City Brewing Company is the oldest packaging brewer in Washington D.C. The award-winning brewery brews, serves, and ships beer from its home in Alexandria, VA to the DC and Mid Atlantic market. You’ll find an impressive lineup of beers at the facility year-round, as well as seasonal beers. Open seven days a week, the tasting room is where you’ll find mouth-watering options like Optimal® Wit (Belgian style white ale) and Downright® Pilsner (bohemian style Pilsner). All craft beers have a unique flavor and are made from high quality ingredients.

Caboose Brewing Company

Caboose Brewing Company in Vienna, VA offers patrons a small-town pub atmosphere with the taste of a high-class lounge. The brewery contains a full kitchen and taproom featuring an extensive menu of delicious appetizers and beverages. After a fun afternoon of play at Room Escape Fairfax, Caboose offers an evening of education and indulgence. Experience every step of the craft beer process, from the brewing of the alcohol to the tasting of the unique flavors. All beers are crafted in a 15 barrel brew house and served fresh.

Blue Jacket Brewery

Found in Washington, DC, Blue Jacket Brewery functions as a groundbreaking brewery, restaurant, and tasting room. The stylish establishment has everything you need for an evening of fun, including tours and tastings. Blue Jacket is also available for private parties with up to 22 guests or corporate events for up to 45 guests. The brewery offers lunch, brunch, dinner, and late night snacks for patrons who want to pair their beer with delicious fare. The beer menu is brimming with drafts and authentic cask ales for your enjoyment.

Dirt Farm Brewing

Dirt Farm Brewing is a family-owned and operated brewery nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just a mile outside of Bluemont, VA. The brewery focuses on small batch handcrafted beers that contain fresh ingredients grown on the family’s 400 acre farm. Staple beers include options such as Work (a crisp, clean sessionable IPA), Red Merl (toasty and smooth with notes of chocolate and caramel), and Straw (single hopped light ale). There is indoor and outdoor seating available and all tables are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Mad Fox Brewing Company

Mad Fox Brewing Company is a European-style gastro brewpub located in Falls Church, VA. The brewery doubles as a restaurant and serves its award-winning beers paired with an appetizing menu of dishes prepared using locally-sourced ingredients. In addition to craft beers from the company’s on-site brewery, you’ll find menu items like burgers, artisan pizzas, and signature frickles. The centerpiece of the brewery is its 63-foot bar that showcases up to ten standard, house-brewed beers available on tap.

Mustang Sally Brewing Company

Situated in Chantilly, VA, Mustang Sally Brewing Company is the largest brewing facility in Fairfax County. The 14,000 square foot facility features a 4,000 square foot tasting room led by a Level One Cicerone. The industrial-style tasting room is where your group can sit and enjoy one of the company’s many popular craft beers or daily specials. Tours are also available by appointment only. If your group contains more than ten people, be sure to call Mustang Sally’s ahead of time for a reservation.

Old 690 Brewing Company

Just a short drive from Leesburg you’ll find Old 690 Brewing Company in Purcellville, VA. In the brewery’s tasting room they serve flights, pints, and crowlers and growlers to go. In addition to unique tastings, the establishment has lite fare that you can enjoy after an evening at Room Escape Fairfax. If you’re interested in hosting a party, Old 690 also hosts private parties and corporate events. Event hours are available seven days a week. The brewery also has a fire pit outdoors where patrons can come and hangout. S’mores are offered seasonally.
